In 2013 KAYAD implemented the Once Upon a Time project with the support of the European Commission and UNDP- PFF which communicated what life was like in Cyprus in the past through an exhibition held at the Bedestan.

The overall objection of the project was to picture houses from villages in northern and southern parts of Cyprus according to the recollection of Cypriots. Through the art work Cypriots who left behind their homes were able express their inner worlds. The project, which aimed to bring to surface some of our scars from the past was a modest effort in exploration of the common future we seek on our common homeland.
